How to evaluate screening programmes using performance indicators

Good public health practice means understanding the population you want to reach, designing services/interventions based on the best available evidence and properly evaluating the impact of the services/interventions. This matrix of performance is designed to assist public health planners and others designing services/interventions to do just this. It sets out what data should be collected and how to use the data to determine population health impact, cost-effectiveness and the perceptions of the intended community to be screened.
