The HEPscreen consortium consists of 11 partners from seven European countries. The partners of the consortium bring a range of expertise, experience and knowledge to the work packages. The project launched in October 2011 and will continue to September 2014.
Erasmus MC (main partner), Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Queen Mary’s University London and the University of Florence provide the necessary scientific basis via a research and literature study. Five public health organizations from different EU countries take the lead in warranting implementation and translation of knowledge and strategies. The team is complemented by various EU organizations that guarantee a European dimension, including the European Liver Patients Association (ELPA), represented by our partner the Hepatitis C Trust. Partners share common goals and objectives in improving public health of European citizens, particularly regarding prevention/screening of infectious diseases like Hepatitis B and C.
